it depends on how good your internet is. Also location of the server how close of far it is from you. You can use cl_cmdrate 1 cl_cmupdate rate 100 ect to try to lower it and type in cl_rate 25000

The ping is based on your internet how good it is and the location of the server. So lets say i live in Alaska and i want to play east coast with my friend in new york my ping will be over 160 because im so far away it will lag and delay the game. If i live in Seattle and i play on washington server it will be like 40 ping because its located near me in my state so Ping depends on how good your internet connection is.
