Door Panels Removal & Installation 1. Remove the sail panel (Front Doors Only). (Triangle looking shape near the side view mirror) 2. Remove the door panel by carefully lifting the panel upward to release the retaining clips. 3. Remove the electrical plugs that control the windows, exc. lube the window regulator The installation is the reverse of the removal.
You have a binding problem either in the window track or the window regulator mechanism. Try spraying the window tracks with dry teflon spray lube. If that doesn't help, you're going to have to replace the regulator.

take it all apart, everything out of the way. lube with penetrant and use correct press tool to push down and out then re-install with correct tool also. lube with a little grease to ease install. put back together an align . yer done
You may have to take it apart and see why is getting stuck. It may be need of some lube.
get some rubber lube from your local car spares shop and spray it in the window channels, if that does not help, remove your door case and you will see a nut that holds the window channel in place if you loosen this nut you can move the channel out slightly, this should allow you to adjust the tightness of the window,if this fails then your motor is probably on the way out
No. But friction builds up in the window channels and that puts stress on the motor. Spray the channels with silicone spray or dry teflon lube spray.

any 80/90 gear oil will do.
Unfortunately you need a special tool for the 2004 ford explorer auto tranny. the tranny is sealed. even jiffy lube or ez lube cannot perform this task. your local dealership or aamco must service the tranny.
