What you have to do is take a bunch of grapefruits, tranquilizer darts, three trucks, and a month's worth of supplies. Then you simply:

1. Drive around in your trucks, and whenever you see an elephant, you:

3. Stick a grapefruit into the elephant's anus (rectum, if you can get it that deep), then:

4. GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE ELEPHANT. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. TRUST ME.

What this will do is, when the elephant wakes up, it will eventually have to go to the... little elephant's room. However, the grapefruit will... prevent it from using the little elephant's room, which will result in a constipated elephant (that is really not a gleaming ray of sunshine, if you get my drift) that will smash everything it sees. Thus, there will be nothing left to pollute once the feces biodegrades, and India will be able to start fresh
