How do you make a 2 layer cake?

To brgin with, figure out which cake will be on the bottom and which cake will be on the top. Then, follow these steps...

1.) Place the bottom cake out and frost the top of it.

2.) Place the top cake on top of the frosting / bottom cake, center them, and let is cool and set up a little, if needed.

3.) Place a large dollop of frosting on top of the top cake. Slwoly spread it to the edges of the cake, adding more icing if needed.

4.) Frost the sides of the cake.

Let the frosting cool and set up for a little while, adding any toppings (candies, nuts, sprinkles, chocolate shavings, ect.) if needed.

Then you are done!

Make 2 serpate cakes in 2 separtae cake pans. It works best if the cakes are the same size, shape, and roughly the same weight. (Equal batter in identical pans, for example.) Once the cakes are baked, removed from the pans, and cooled, but icing on the top of the cake that you want to be the bottom of the 2 layers. Carefully align the top cake above the icing, and place it down. Last, frost or decorate the whole cake (with both layers) as you wish.
