The cheapest and fastest way to make any sport quad or dirt bike faster (meaning acceleration) is to change the gearing. I usually recommend that people change the front sprocket by going down in size by one tooth. If they want more, then they can go up in size in the rear by 1-3 teeth. This may however require a different sized chain. Your local powersports store can help you with this computation. By doing this, you're not gaining any horsepower, but instead you're gaining low-end. Keep in mind that you will have a lower top speed. If that is what you are wanting, do the opposite for what is required for low end power.
Of course, if you want to go a different way, there are always bore kits, stroker kits, carburetor modifications, and exhausts. These tend to be very expensive however. Problem with the 250ex's is they do not have chains and sprockets. I put a white brothers pipe, a K&N filter(with the airbox removed), and a dynojet Stage 2 jet kit and it definitely improved. I'm guessing i raised the stock 14hp to about 17-18.
a Honda trx 250ex will go about 55 miles perhour but its too slow for me
Yes.

if they are both 4 wheelers , mmmmm.... i would go with the Honda . If one's a dirt bike , the dirt bike will smoke the 4 wheeler. They may go aboout the same .
