Sorry, but you can't make a hamster carrier! You can put them in a shoe box for short term but they can easily escape. The best thing to do is to buy them a plastic and wire carrier from the petstore. Though If you need a quickfix it should be okay in a shoebox, but keep a huge eye on it!
