Get layers where you want and if your a woman you can enhance your "feather" by adding some curls from a curling iron.
Use the flip method to feather back or just comb/brush back.
OR
1. Go to a crafting store or online and get whatever kind of feather or feathers that you want. if you want, put a few different kinds of feathers together if just want 1 feather.
2. wrap a piece of paper around your feather /feathers.
3. add a small, thin piece of string to ake a loop through the tape or paper.
4. put the loop on your feathered piece through a clip of any color, shape, or size.
5. put the clip in.
you would do this one because you take irt out when you don't want it and
YOUR FEATHERS WILL LAST LONGER WITH THE SECOND WAY!
For the best result your should trim down a feather. But, I make my own feather that look real, for FREE! You save tons of money. This is how:
1. Get some kite string.
2. Pull off one string off of the kite string to make it less thick
3. Rub it with your fingers so it will frizz then pull it to keep it straight.
4. After the whole thing is frizzed and pulled straight, put it under water.
5. Take it out and dry it with paper towel.
6. After it is dry, in a few places frizz t again and pull it straight
7. Flatten it.
8. Take a any color marker (can be highlighter but I would prefer permanent marker) and cover the whole string with the marker.
9. After the whole thing is covered, let it dry for 2 to 3 minutes
10. After the string is dry, take a black thin permanent marker and make straight lines or V lines on it with some space in between. if you use a thick permanent marker you might want to leave at least half inch or inch in between.
11. Take a thing piece of hair and tie it to the hair. (double knot it)
12. So easy to take out! All you have to do is find the knot and hold it and slide it out!
Added tips:
- if you tie the sting to the elbow of a bobby pin then you can pin in your new hairpiece however you want and it's also reusable.
- you can also use embroidery thread from the fabric store, in place of kite string -- it comes pre-dyed in a wide variety of colors and is super-cheap.
- you can also add some zing to your new hair feather by a tying in beads or bird feathers too
You go to a hair salon and ask them to do it for you, or you ask them how to make it homemade with homemade ingredients like hydrogen perxoide, and other ingredients.
