How do you make a mermaids tail?

Before you make it read it fist.

1. First get some paper and drew around your legs but not as small as your legs make it bigger so you legs can fit in this needs to be 5cm longer measure it from your waist to you toes but so you can put your feet in you need to make it nice and big at the bottom.
2. now draw around you tail onto the material you must pick color you like and a bikini to go with it.
3. cut it out but 2 times but one side to bigger than the other but the tail has to be the same size.
4. now Sow the tail all over but on the very end so you can fit in
5. now if you think you tail is to flat you can but something 3d in the bottom like tissue.
6. now wear it if it is to big around the waist then sow it on

now were it out or in water :D

Or... Another way to do it is to get some waterproof material and get the amount of material that goes from your waist down. Lay it flat, and put your waist on it like its a skirt and use white chalk to mark on the material how far your legs reach. If it reaches to the very bottom, you should then go out and buy 2 feet of the same material for the end of the tail. If your feet goes half way down, mark where it is and cut straight across of where you marked the chalk. Then draw the shape you want the bottom of the tail to look like(make sure there is room for 2 end of the tail designs). Cut out the shapes. Get some bendable plastic like things like darice mesh or something like that (make sure it is waterproof). Cut the same shape of your end of the tail design out of the plastic waterproof thing. Take both of the end of the tail pieces and wrap them around the waterproof plastic. Use waterproof permanent glue to make the fabric stick to the plastic. Let that dry. Sit from your waist down on the fabric again and wrap it around you and keep that shape. Get up and get elastic that fits good around your waist. save that for a while. Unfold the big piece of fabric and permanently glue the edges and fold them over. make sure you do all the sides. Sit back down from your waist and down and fold it over to the perfect size. Glue down the middle. Make sure it is smaller at the end. Take the smaller plastic with the fabric wrapped around it and glue the small end to the small end of the big tail. Let it dry. Enjoy.! P.S i was 11 years old to know how to make this and it worked.!

You can also sew it rather than glueing it.
