You can purchase Gold, Silver, and assorted colored metallic eggs from the Tiny Chao garden in the GBA games. I believe it's quite difficult to obtain them in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle... it involves many ring collecting adventures, several disappointing trips to the black market, and lots of googling how to cheat a metallic chao into existence. If I were you, I think it would be worth the $5 to buy the Sonic Advance game and get your chao that way. :3
