The HP Compaq TC 1100 is a 10.4 inch screen tablet computer, with a detachable keyboard. The benefits are that it works like a small laptop computer with the keyboard attached and as a tablet when the keyboard is detached.

I'm assuming that by "HP keyboard", they are referring to HP's standard keyboard in which the keys are pretty much butted up against each other. They are so close together that they are almost touching. An island style keyboard is the same thing as a "chicklet keyboard" in which the keys are separated from one another. They keys often resemble chicklet gum especially if they are hard. Also, take a look at the keys, you'll see that each one is separated like each one is an independent "island".

In Motion tablets and HP tablets there is a detachable keyboard. the keyboard usually will have two prongs on either side at the top of the keyboard that stabilize it and hold it secure. there is also a connector in the center that transfers the data from the keyboard to the tablet.
