A "wet cake" as a specific desert is a type of cake from Argentina (Torta Morjada) and other Latin American countries in which a cake is soaked in syrup after cooking. A traditional recipe would call for the cake to be served in a shallow bowl filled with a dulce de leche and/or heavy cream (sometimes with fruit), thereby ensuring the bottom of the cake gets soaked by the syrup and the top remains dry. The cake is then cut and served and additional syrup may be poured on top of the cake as desired.
Otherwise, in a general sense, calling a cake wet could indicate that it is undercooked.
get a cake, then chuck it to some water. This is how you get a 'wet cake' (:
To make your own cake mix just combine the dry ingredients from your recipe and put them in an airtight container. Then when you want to make the cake add the wet ingredients and mix and bake.
use a little less bananas than stated in the recipe
It's underdone.
The rain will not cause a cake to fall, unless the cake gets wet.
Baking powder ( NaHCO3) contains CO2 (carbon dioxide). Single Acting baking powder releases the gas when it gets wet. Double acting releases both when wet and when heated. When baking cake, the bubbles begin to form when making the batter and continue to expand as the cake batter bakes. I am not quit sure that is true.
If pound cake isn't done all the way it will be wet and unset in the middle of the loaf. Why does this occur
because eggs are kind of wet, by not putting them in a cake the ingredients don't bind together as well :)
The following are some original birthday cake ideas; 1. Making flat cake layers by wrapping it it with wet towels or strips. 2. Bust the bubbles by dropping it above the counter before baking. 3. Keep the cake from drying out by leaving slices of bread above. 4. Use fruit puree to make the tint cake batter nice looking. 5. Arrange in the different colors of cake to make it look awesome. 6. Add sprinkles to make it more colorful.
