In the internet age, it's easier to do this than it used to be, but some places will still want written proof (a formal letter, or filling out a change-of-address form). To change addresses for online sites, such as magazines to which you subscribe, you go to the site and there should be a link to where you can type in the new address. In some cases, you can do it by phone: you would call the company and tell them you have moved. In other cases, you would fill out a change of address form and send it to the company. You can change your address at your local post office, and they will also notify your letter carrier to send the mail to your new address. You can tell your bank you have moved by going to any branch and notifying them (they have the change-of-address forms there). Or if you do online banking, they too have a location on their site for address changes.
