you have been take backup by many commands like "ufsdump", "tar" , " pax "

syntax for ufsdump backup for a root file system is :

# ufsdump 0ucf < backing store directory >

its entry goes to " /etc/dumpdates" file

0 is the backup level for whole file system

mainthing is that "ufsdump" is used for full file system backup
