to make syrup, first place a cup of sugar into a sauce pan along with a half cup of water (depending on the amount of sugar, keep in mind"two to one) and bring to a boil. stir occasionally when finished let it cool for a couple of minutes.

to make it thicker boil off a bit of the water or add more sugar.
