First of all, Prepare your fruit slices in advance and arrange them on a large serving platter. Be sure to sprinkle lemon juice over the apple, pear and banana slices so they won't go brown. Cover the platter before setting it aside. And you can dip other things with it too! Like: Marshmallows, Cookies(Cookies have to be bite size!), honestly that's all i can think of.....

The Recipe its very simple!

16 ounces Dark Chocolate, or Milk Chocolate. i prefer Lindt if you don't find chocolate fondue.

1 1/2 cups light cream

1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract

Now for the instructions, which are very simple too!!!

1. Break chocolate squares into smaller pieces and drop them into the fondue pot.

2. Add cream (which will prevent the chocolate from going lumpy) and stir gently but constantly until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

3. Add vanilla extract, and stir it in.

4. Use a fondue fork to spear the fruit, then dip it in the chocolate! Mmmmmm!

Serves 6 7 oz (200 g) dark chocolate (75 per cent cocoa solids), broken into pieces

3 large eggs, separated

1½ oz (40 g) golden caster sugar To serve: a little whipped cream (optional) You will also need 6 ramekins, each with a capacity of 5 fl oz (150 ml), or 6 individual serving glasses. First of all place the broken-up chocolate and 4 fl oz (120 ml) warm water in a large heatproof bowl, which should be sitting over a saucepan of barely simmering water, making sure the bowl doesn't touch the water. Then, keeping the heat at its lowest, allow the chocolate to melt slowly - it should take about 6 minutes. Now remove it from the heat and give it a good stir until it's smooth and glossy, then let the chocolate cool for 2-3 minutes before stirring in the egg yolks. Then give it another good mix with a wooden spoon. Next, in a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites to the soft-peak stage, then whisk in the sugar, about a third at a time, then whisk again until the whites are glossy. Now, using a metal spoon, fold a tablespoon of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture to loosen it, then carefully fold in the rest. You need to have patience here - it needs gentle folding and cutting movements so that you retain all the precious air, which makes the mousse light. Next divide the mousse between the ramekins or glasses and chill for at least 2 hours, covered with clingfilm. I think it's also good to serve the mousse with a blob of softly whipped cream on top. This recipe is taken from How to Cook Book Two and The Delia Collection: Chocolate. i hope this helpsSamsami

Dipping ChocolateWhat you need:
  • Multiple bars of milk chocolate (depends on how much you need to make)
  • Stove top, electric or gas
  • Small pot
  • Metal bowl (small enough for the bottom to rest half-inside the pot/cover pot completely)
  • 1 cup of Water

STEPS:

1. Preheat stovetop to high

2. Break up the bars of chocolate, put them in the metal bowl

3. Put the cup of water in the small pot, then the pot on the stove

4. Place bowl inside pot; water should not touch underside of bowl

This works because the steam from the heated water rises, it has nowhere to escape because the bowl is covering the top so it continually heats itself. The metal bown heats up, and then after a little, the chocolate will begin to melt.

Remember to stir constantly once the chocolate starts to melt.

In making a chocolate fondue, or even a delicious cheese fondue, a fondue appliance should be bought. Making a fondue is as simple as melting the chocolate, then using the fork from the fondue machine, dip the selected food item, like, bread cubes, strawberries and cheese in to the melted chocolate and swirl around and eat.
