Fish cannot be made to mate , except by artificial means. Fish can be allowed to mate in captive situations by several known methods. Providing fish with correct temperature, water condition, suitable mating environment, changing those conditions to match normal wild mating conditions may allow mature fish to mate. Sometimes mating fish in captivity is easy as feeding them and keeping them in suitable water conditions. Some fish have never been bred in captivity and will only breed in wild conditions.
To mate fish, you should see how the fish you want to mate, mate. Then you should put them in the same tank and watch them. I'm not an expert so search the web for a more through answer.

One time I had two goldfish and they had 38 "fishlings" (As my sister calls it...). I have a silverside that has eggs. A silverside isn't sold in pet stores. :( ==== Not all tropical fish mate in an aquarium. Why,I do not know. Sometropical fish that will mate in a tank are guppies and mollies which are live bearers. Tetras and barbs are egglaying fish.
yes all fish mate
u put a lot of fish in the tank and then they mate
no. fish can only mate with fish of the same species. Gouramis mate with gouramis and platys mate with platys.
You can not "MAKE" any fish breed. All you can do is look after them correctly and bring them into breeding condition, then provide the fish with the right conditions and "HOPE" they will breed for you.
Do you mean will they mate with other fish or get along with other fish? They will not mate with other fish, but they will get along without tetras.
betta fish mate when the male starts to make a bubble nest.he does this when the temp is raised to about 27-28c,now you need to separate the female into a private chamber where the male can see in the same tank for a few hours.then release her.if all goes well your beta fish will mate
well their moms make them and then they grow then they find a mate and make babies. is that what you mean?
