Sodium bicarbonate ( baking soda )
A person can make a homemade pool algaecide by combining bleach, baking soda, and Borax. This shocks the pool and increases the pH if needed.
Your pool water turned green immediately after adding pH Plus because the chemical had increased the pH level to high. You may need to adjust the alkalinity levels of the water using another pool chemical such as pH Minus of pH Alkalinity Plus.
There is a product by HTH called PH Plus that will rise the PH content in your pool.
High chlorine levels will make the pH in your pool high. You can add borates to help stabilize the pH level in your pool.
You can still get in the pool. The chemicals work best when the pH is balanced so add PH PLUS. If the PH is really low it is very acidic and could burn the eyes a bit
Test the water, then adjust your Ph to about 7.2. Then chlorinate.
It depends on the volume of your pool and what level your Ph is at.
PH is very important for pool care and cleaning. You need to make sure the pool stays neutral, not to acidic, not too basic. 7.0 is normal water. around 7 would be perfect for a swimming pool. If having a pool you need the right temperature, and make sure its pH temperature is 7.0. It can be 7.1 7.1 7.3 7.4 7.5 7.6. that's also neutral
It will make it one inch deeper assuming that rain water is only falling in it.
pH is the hydrogen or hydroxide concentration in your pool. pH is a logarithmic scale ranging from 0-14 and 7 being neutral.
make sure chlorine is is at 1-3ppm, if pH is very low raise chlorine slightly higer than average. shock the pool after and run filter for over night. If pool still not stabilize then add PH high chemical.
