I can think of 3 cakes made in this way: pavlova, angel food cake, chocolate chinchilla cake.

Here's a recipe for Pavlova

For each egg white:

½ cup sugar

1 tablespoon cold water

1 teaspoon cornflour

½ teaspoon vinegar.

Beat the egg whites and water with a pinch of salt till soft peaks form. Beat in the sugar 1 tablespoon at a time, beat in till dissolved with each addition until no granules can be felt when rubbed between thumb and finger.

Beat in the vinegar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Lastly fold in the cornflour.

Wet a piece of greaseproof or baking paper with cold water on one side only and lay it wet side down on a cold baking sheet. Shape the meringue into a lofty circle on the paper

Bake in a preheated oven at 190° (Celsius) for exactly 5 minutes then turn the oven off, leaving the Pavlova inside, until the oven is cold.

Decorate with lashings off whipped cream and fruit - chunks of pineapple and mint leaves were a particular family favourite.

Note:

Really, an electric beater and electric oven are required.

Four egg whites make a decent-sized Pavlova to be eaten in 1 sitting.

You will Need:

1. Flour (any amount)

2. Milk (2,3,or 4 tea spoons)

3. Sugar (not much less than flour)

4. Bowl

5. Spoon or Any whisk (or maybe finger :S)

How to make the icing (the easy but tasty way)

1) Put flour and about 4 or 3 table spoons of sugar and then mix together to make 'Powdered Sugar'.

Or you can buy powdered sugar from a shop.

2) Now put a tea spoon of milk into the powdered sugar and mix.

If its not enough which it probably won't be then keep adding that same amount of milk to the mixture and it should make a paste.

3) Quickly apply it to what you want it on and leave or put in fridge to set.

Tip: If you have any food colouring add 2 or 3 drops and stir for a while to make the icing that colour. It turns it from boring white to a nicer colour.

Another Option:

Most packages of powered sugar that you buy at the store will have a simple recipe for icing right on the package.

1 unbeaten egg white 1 1/4 cups pure sifted icing sugar. Mix together in electric mixer adding a few drops lemon juice. Royal icing goes hard very quickly.
