Static electricity has no charge. This means that it doesn't move. The electrons in the wire that are pumped around the circuit by the battery do move and thus have charge. You can only use power that has a charge or "moves".

It is the battery, it's just like a motor example, say you have a red wire a blue wire and a black and green wire you would tie those to the battery inside so it is like a regular brush in side a case. Also, the people who make them put a hole in the battery and the put the wires in it so u should get a a+ on this cause I'm writing about this because my dad works in a toothbrush factory.

You need a copper wire and magnets. put magnet on plus side of battery and then form the copper wire around it.
