I would think that most people would want to keep their diary a secret, but if that's what you want, you can simply just give them the diary and tell them to read it. They might ask why you want them to read it, for the reason I just explained, but it's not too likely they'll decline.

Anne Frank died before her dad did. So that is not a logical question.
By most accounts, Otto Frank saw his daughter's diary as a way to keep her spirit and her memory alive, even though the Nazis had murdered her. He believed the world needed to know what his family had experienced, and he also believed that Anne's words would make the story more real to anyone who read it.

yes cause dads will always be dadsIt is not abnormal for a parent to read a child's diary because parents often want to be sure they know what their children are involved in that might be damaging to them.On the other hand, many parents think it is a good thing to exercise self-discipline and not read the child's diaryNeither me or my husband would dream of invading our childrens most private thoughts that way! This is going too far. Instead the parent should be working on having a good relationship with the child and RESPECT THEIR PRIVACY which we all have the right to!
Anne Frank received her diary from her parents as a birthday present.
Well in reality, she received her diary on her 13th birthday by her dad Otta Frank.
