How can you get the US pound sign on a UK keyboard?

On my keyboard it is accessed using the shift key and the 3 key to produce £

Or try holding the ALT button then press 0163 you should get £!

Search for your Character map.

on mine shift 3 is #, how do you get the # and how would i get the pound or euro or yen for that matter (just out of interest)

To type the pound sign on a US keyboard press ALT 156

When you're at where you want to type the Pound key, hold Windows Key & Alt then type 156. When you release them, the pound appear, like this £

you aimply go to the lanhuage bar at thr boyyom right of your task bar and change the type of keyboard. eg the American to the British because of the location of the "@" symbol
