How can you port forward a Minecraft server without a router?

Without a router you don't need to portforward. To get an IP adress without a router follow these steps: 1. Make a new folder on your desktop and name it want you want (ex. Minecraft Server) 2. Download the "Multiplayer Server" software in this link: www.minecraft.net/download 3. Place the Download in the folder (if you don't see .exe at the end of the download called Minecraft Server rename it by putting .exe at the end). 4.Run the program if you see any "Error" messages ignore them it just couldn't find the files that have just popped up in the folder. Close the program by typing in "Stop" at the bottom of the program. 5. Go to the start menu and type in "cmd" select the option at the top of the menu. After it opens type ipconfig and look for the "IPv4 Adress" write it down or memorize it. 6. Go back to the folder you made and enter the "IPv4 Adress" (this is also the IP adress) in the section in the program called "Server" with a blue notepad next to it don't mix it up withthe other "Server" program. 7. Run the "Minecraft Server" program and wait until it's done starting the server again and open Minecraft, login, go to multiplayer, add the server add the name of the server IF the server is whitelisted( the option to white-list is at the bottom of the "Server" program delete "false" then type in "true" this also works for the other options to activate them (ex. spawn monsters). Then go to the whitelist program in the folder and type in the names of the people you only want to play) you do not have to put the name of the server if there is no whitelist, then enter the IP adress then test it. 8. You're done!!!

The example of client server model is that to check your bank account from your computer, a client program in your computer forwards your request ro a server program at the bank. this program may in turn forward the request to its own client program that sends a request to a database server at another bank computer to retrieve your account balance. The balance is returned back to the bank data client, which in turn serves it back to the client in your personal computer, which displays the information for you.

How do you export the minecraft server's map to singleplayer if you own the server and make it so that it is creative mode?

I believe it's as simple as dragging it to the single player saves folder. Back it up first. For Windows, .mincraft /saves folder. For Mac, Application Support/minecraft/saves folder.

What is server-client network?

Client/server describes the relationship between two computer programs in which one program, the client, makes a service request from another program, the server, which fulfills the request. Although the client/server idea can be used by programs within a single computer, it is a more important idea in a network. In a network, the client/server model provides a convenient way to interconnect programs that are distributed efficiently across different locations. Computer transactions using the client/server model are very common. For example, to check your bank account from your computer, a client program in your computer forwards your request to a server program at the bank. That program may in turn forward the request to its own client program that sends a request to a database server at another bank computer to retrieve your account balance. The balance is returned back to the bank data client, which in turn serves it back to the client in your personal computer, which displays the information for you. Well you can't just change it like that. You have to copy the world file create a new server with the bukkit .jar delete the bukkit server's world file and copy the old one in. Remember to back the old one up before you do this.

Difference between a web server and a database server?

Application server is used to serve the logic of the business to the application with the help of different protocol whereas web server is used to handle HTTP requests. An application server is a computer that stores application programs designed to be run, as services, from a client computer. Depending on the application design, a client computer can run or invoke the remote application via a web interface or by running a client program designed to work with the application program. A web server is a program (or application program) that receives requests from Web Browsers and responds by sending data back to the browser where it is displayed as a web page.

Can you connect in minecraft?

Yes of course, just-Copy the I.P. address from a server listing website.Click "Multiplayer" then"Add server" enter the name you wish and the I.P. address you copied. It should bring you back to your server list, there it should display the server with their title and player amount. If it displays a red X on the connection strength either that server is offline or your I.P. address is not correct. Typically if the I.P. address is incorrect then the X will appear faster then if the server is just offline.
