The only way I know of is right-clicking on the program, go to Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, click "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select the closest version of windows in the box., and click OK.
Note - you can also do this in Settings for All users.
home group is new to windows 7 and cannot be used with earlier versions of windows
