How do you make your minecraft not laggy?

well this is such a comen problem its sometimes hard to anser.

what i usually do when playing the game. whether its sp(Singel Player) smp(Survival Multy Player) or classic.

is simply quit the game then restart it . this can solve the problem for a while. if this douse not work then look to Se if theirs enny updates or bug fixes.

i welcome enny further info on fixes for this

minecraft Classic:

Just simply press F a few times on the keyboard to activate fog. The fog will help reduce lag during gameplay, but not necessarily eliminate it completely.

Minecraft Creative/Survival/Hardcore (and sometimes Classic):

There are a few steps you can take to help reduce lag.

- Download OptiFine

- Lower the render distance in the Game Options

- Update all your graphics drivers

- Update Java

- In Task Manager, change Minecrafts priority to "High" (NOT realtime).

- Close all background applications that you don't need

- Invest in an external cooling fan if you have a laptop (heat = lag)

The expensive alternative is to buy a new computer or laptop specifically designed for gaming.

A slow/low end broadband speed is usually the #1 problem for lag on servers. The other is too little ram on the computer on single player, 4 gigs should be the minimum you should have.

If you go to the Minecraft WiKi they can tell you how to add more ram to the Minecraft application if you have plenty on the computer.

Things that you can do to reduce the lag is to turn down some of the visual options in the menu.

1)remove some programmes to free up more hard drive space

2) add more RAM

Here is how you help get rid f some lag:

go to AppData > Roaming > .mnecraft > Bin.

locate "jinput" and delete it. That usually helps.
