There are many products to help absorb odor. Most of them contain baking soda. It is a good idea to wash your shoes frequently - at least once a week. Many odors can be washed out of the shoe fabric. If you have an infection like athlete's foot, you need to throw the shoes out, because the fungus in inside the shoes and will just re-infect your feet.
GOLD BOND POWDER! In the yellow can.Use it all the time and it works better than any foot powders or sprays on the market.Even the store brands or dollar store brands will work, but gold bond is the best.I am on my feet all day and my work shoes or boots used to smell bad enough to make a fly puke.(you know what flies eat).I started using gold bond and it did the trick. You can take your shoes off without worry.Just remember to use it on a regular basis.Good luck and may your shoes be pleasant smelling.

There are many products out there that offer you the help to do this such as 'Scholls'. If you want to do it the cheap way you can sprinkle bi-carbonate of soda into them. This will absorb the odours. If you have problem feet you should probably invest in a pair of good leather shoes that will let your feet breathe and this will also combat the odour problem.
