I usually elevate the feet (the receiver should be sitting) and place my thumbs on the bottom of the foot, just under the arch of the foot and apply a small ammount of firm yet gentle pressure and rub. My Mother has been having foot pains for a while now so I get alot of practice with this sort of thing.

∙ 14y agoIt is best to get training because it will not only teach you techniques, it will teach you how to do massage to the feet safely. The most well known form of foot massage is Reflexology. There is also Thai foot massage, and many others. Check your local massage school, they often have workshops that are open to the public and have no pre-requisites. Reflexology is usually one of them.
