One possibility suggested is to drive fence posts into ground at begining and end of the area and tightly tie a string and then LEVEL the string before measuring the distance from string to the ground at each fence post. Is there a better way?

How do brakes work on a long steep downgrade?

Their operation doesn't change in any way - they work the same way on a downgrade as they do on flat ground. Now the manner in which they're used will change - occasional snub braking will be used to regulate speed on the downgrade.

What happens to rainfall when the ground is saturated?

Water naturally goes with the downgrade so when the water can't go into the ground it flows down resulting in what we call a flash flood.

What is the property of soil that determines that water will soak through the ground?

This is porosity. You might also say that the soil is free-draining.

How do you measure hockey stick curve?

For equipment legality purposes it is generally accepted that if you lay your stick down so the forehand (the inside curve) is on the ground a puck should not, or with resistance, pass through between blade and ground.

What is the term used to measure ground shaking?

What is a weather balloon?

Weather balloons typically carry a thermometer (to measure air temperature), a psychrometer (to measure humidity), a barometer (to measure air pressure) and a transmitter (to send the information through radio waves to equipment at the ground so we will know what the instruments are measuring up in the air)

What Is The Difference CT and PT?

A CT is used to measure current, and is NOT referenced to ground, and has very low primary impedance. A PT is used to measure voltage, is referenced to ground, and has a much higher impedance (since it is referenced to ground).
