1. Fill bath half way
2. Mark the level of the water with a marker pen (line A)
3. Get into the bath
4. Completely submerge yourself into the water, get someone to mark the level of the water with you still completely submerged (line B)
5. Get out of the bath
6. The water level should have gone down back to line A
7. Using a mesuring jug, fill the bath until it has reached line B.. keeping count of the amount of water you've added.
8. The amount of water you added is your body volume :)
You have to first measure the amount of water in the bath, then measure the amount of water after the person is in the bath. The difference is the volume of the human body. Gallons or liters
It depends on your water companies measure of 1 unit. In my area 1 unit is equal to 748 gallons of water. so 40 units would be: 40units X 748 gallons = 29,920 gallons of water. Just about the amount of water you would use to fill up an average swimming pool.
That depends what aspect of the glass of water you want to measure: its height, its volume, its mass, its index of refraction, etc.
what unit would you the length of a shoe? mm,cm,dm,m, or km.

The unit you should use to measure the thin edge of a dime would be millimeters.
