You cannot merge to video files in iMovie. What you can do is take all clips, audio, etc., that is in the timeline and drag it to the other iMovie file that you have open to technically 'join' the two videos.
To merge multiple clips on iMovie:
1. After opening iMovie, click on "File" and choose "New Project" to begin a new project;
2. Go to "File" > "Import" > "Movies" to add your videos;
3. Drag the video to the timeline and edit them as you desire;
4. Head to "Modify" > "Join Clips" to get your video clips merged.
Alternatively, try an easy merging tool called Joyoshare Video Joiner for Windows or Mac to merge multiple videos in lossless quality.
Yes, they definitely are. Anything you can open in QuickTime is compatible with iMovie
No, you cannot merge multiple questions at once. You can only merge multiple alternates at one time.
You do need a camera to use iMovie. Import pictures and clips that are already on your computer/mac.
Windows Movie Maker transitions are movements between clips such as fades.
yes actually. if u have a mac imovie is automatically downloaded and u can reverse clips there
You will need to download the Split Screen Effect for iMovie. Click on the Related Link below to be directed to a site where you can download the plugin.
The clips possible already have transitions on them, which is why you can't add the overlap transition. Check for other excess transitions, clips, etc., between the two clips that you want to use overlap for.
Depending on how the avi files are encoded, you can probably just drag them into the iMovie library. iMovie will then automatically convert them (this may take quite a while depending on the speed of your machine). Once the clips are imported you can use iMovie to create your production. When you are finished, you can use iDVD to burn your final product.
