Basically, a double martini is two martini cocktails served in one glass. To mix one, you use twice as much gin and twice as much vermouth, then strain it into a larger martini glass. They are not recommended, as the drink will be warm before you've finished it (unless you're drinking way too fast). It is generally better to order a martini, drink it and order another than to order a double martini.
But they do chilled and served as a Martini. Winston Churchill's recipe for a martini was add gin and then LOOK at a bottle of Vermouth. That just a glass of chilled gin.

In order to mix an espresso martini the individual will need 1 oz cold espresso, 1 1/2 oz absolut vodka, 1 1/2 oz kahlua coffee luqueur and 1 oz white creme de cacao. The individual will need to pour the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice, shake vigorously, and strain into a chilled martini glass. It should also be somewhat frothy.
