After you get the sky book you take it to shad who is in the cellar of the house. He will read it. When nothing happens he'll say that it helped him with his research. What he just recited returned the power back to the dominion rod. Then on your map he will mark the sites that have the owl statue. Then you have to go to each site and move the statues with the dominion rod. you'll see that once you move them there is this green glowing thing where they were. Go and collect it. It is part of the ancient text in the sky book. Once you're done bring it back to him. I think then he recites the full thing and some part of the statue disappears. However, and I don't entirely remember this part, he can't move it. He then walks away discouraged. Link then takes out the dominion rod, moves the statue, and enters only to find the sky canon.
