I Googled "Murano locked gas cap" and found answers that solved the problem, after being ripped off by Jack Ingram Nissan, Montgomery, AL, for $344. Wish I had gone to Google instead of Ingram!!! See my posting, Farmpsych
my steering wheel is locked my tires are straight and everything and it refuses to unlock what do i do?
ive a 51 plate espace 2.2dci had same problem u need to take off all the panelling inside the car other side of cap,and you can open it manually from inside the car theirs like a filter its behind there ,i found a loose wire and also sprayed lock with wd40 hope this helps
You just push on it to open it. If the car is locked, the gas door will be locked also. The car needs to be unlocked in order to open the gas filler door.
The door catch could be bent or broken. Or the cable or lever could be stuck, causing the lock not to close.
In the new model, (2011) it's a push catch on the cover. It's locked centrally too. I spent 5 minutes working out how to put fuel in my hire car.
Easy, Get a locksmith to open the door.
To open the fuel filler door on a 2016 Toyota Corolla, locate the fuel door release lever inside the vehicle, typically found on the lower left side of the driver's seat near the door. Pull the lever, and the fuel filler door should pop open. If the lever does not work, check for any obstructions or ensure the vehicle is not locked, as some models may have a locking mechanism.
To my knowledge there is no button. There is a small recess at the back top edge that you slide your finger in and pull to open. Gently! If you get a clunk when you pull and the filler door stops, your vacuum operated lid lock is in the locked position. Unlock the car and try again. If the filler lid is locked with the car unlocked try started the car to 'charge' the vacuum system. If this does not work you will have to open the trunk to access the lock, and manually push the locking pin back.
The pcv is located in the side of the oil filler tube and is locked into a notch, turn and pull up will release it , if not changed in awhile may require a little wd40 to free it up.
you dont get locked in the museum
never it can never get locked
