The 1997 Volvo 850 does not have a MAP sensor but instead has a barometric sensor. The MAP/barometric sensor is located just below and a little toward the passenger cabin on the right (passenger) side from the hood latch. It is bolted with one bolt to the inner fender. Stand on the passenger side and look down you should see it between the windshield washer filler neck and the hood latch. It is quite small and has an electrical plug.
