you have to trip the upper latch clip do do this you need a l bend rod to push under the hood and push the clip to rhe out side edge of the fender to pop the latch
How do you open the hood latch from the outside on a subaru impreza
You can open a stuck hood by removing the hood latch. The hood latch can be access through the front grill. Remove the code latch retaining bolts. The hood should be free to open.
Wedge a screwdriver in the front to create tension on hood then pull the hood latch. It should open.
You pull the latch and open the hood.
There's a special tool that'll release the latch by sticking it in between the hood edge and windshield. Any Corvette shop or even a dealer should have this. I've seen it advertised in Vette parts catalogs.
With a pair of pliers pulling the latch.
I have a 1986 which should be the same. Under the dash on the driver's side next to the door is a pull handle that rotates down toward the rear of the car. This releases the hood latch.
i would probably use a screwdriver to nudge where the latch used to be to pop it open
It's part of the latch assembly, when the hood is open you can see it.
crowbar
Open the door with your key. Now pull the hood latch to open the hood.
