With the ignition key in the on position, use the button on the lower left dash panel or the remote fob. If the vehicle battery is dead, neither will work. You have to have a good battery in the vehicle, since it is all electric. Or, you can remove the rear seat back and crawl through and pull the emergency release on the trunk lid latch. Without a key or remote fob, you can't even get in the car if it's locked.
Unless you ran it out of oil and the engine is locked up, it is not the oil.
Make sure the plugs under the seat are connected. The seat belt stays locked if they are not
I have a convertible and had this problem. Fixed when i put the key in the driver side door and locked and unlocked it. It reset the alarm. Hope this helps.
Same problem and question, compressor locked up. Battery won't keep a charge. Does the belt send charge to battery?
