To fix it open rear door -remove small plastic cover seen under right hand shelf. reach in (difficult) and you will feel the control relay for the petrol flap - move it around whilst operating the remote control - you will feel the relay operating - eventually the petrol flap will open. add lubricating oil to the pin that you will see once the petrol flap opens - hopes this helps.
