car doors must be unlocked then pull petrol flap
Push the right hand side of it inwards.
You need the vehicle unlocked to open the fuel flap. The central locking also locks the fuel flap on this model.
I had the same problem on my Opel Corsa GSi (5 door model) - all doors unlocked but the electronically controlled petrol flap stayed locked. To fix it open rear door -remove small plastic cover seen under right hand shelf. reach in (difficult) and you will feel the control relay for the petrol flap - move it around whilst operating the remote control - you will feel the relay operating - eventually the petrol flap will open. add lubricating oil to the pin that you will see once the petrol flap opens - hopes this helps.
There is know release button on the corsa c, all you do is unlock the whole car which then unlocks the petrol flap then you can pull it open with your hand.
To open the petrol tank on a Passat, inside the car next to the Handbrake on the Centre Console there is a button which when pressed releases the flap to the Fuel Filler Cap. Open the Flap unscrew the stopper and there you are. When finished be sure to lock tight the cap and make sure the Flap is fully closed flush to the bodywork.
To open the filler cap, you press the cover and it should open (with the car unlocked). To close it, you press it down again until it clicks. Sometimes the flap stays open. Move the red plastic tag, holding the actual fuel cap, as this can stop the flap from closing.
if the lever inside the car is working it may be the spring that opens the flap try spraying it with wd40
If the central locking isn't working, there is a pull cord in the boot that will release the lock on the petrol flap.
PUSH THE LOWER LEFT CORNER OF GAS LID AND IT WILL OPEN. IT IS ON A HINGE, BUT YOU CANT OPEN IT FROM RIGHT TO LEFT. Also if the doors are locked so is the fuel flap...
The 1996 Mercedes-Benz 320 petro cap opener is on the floor, next to the drivers seat. The opener will be on the left-hand side of the drivers seat.
there is a manual release button you have to pull on the inside panel of the truck on the side where the fuel flap door is located. I know that, but cannot get the darn flap open with my remote key!
