it is quite easy you see, on the outside of what one calls a door, there is this strange looking object that sometimes sticks out or sometimes is flush with the door, sometimes the same or sometimes a different color than the car,this is called the "door handel" you grab that and by either pushing a button, pulling up or out it pulls on a metal rod inside the door which in reaction releases the door latch which holds the doorshut when the door is closed. it is just so east that my 3 year old son can even opperate a door handel wiuth perfect ease.
get a locksmith
It is part of the latch.
Buy a new one.
Open the passenger door. It is inside the panel you see at the end of the dashboard.
Open the front passenger side door; it is on the side of the dash.
On the right side of the panel, you need to open the right front door to see the fuses panel little door.
It's likely one of the door pin switches is bad, and the car thinks a door is still open.
Under the Hood or, on the side of the passanger door when you open it!
open the passengers door and look at the side of the dash board that closes against the door you will see a litte door that says fuses on it.

I would suggest that you open the door from the inside and locate the child protection switch that is located near the latching mechanism on the door and put it into the unlocked position.
If you just open the drivers door and look at the door frame you will see a sticker with all the information you need
