On the horse's auction page, go to the upper right corner to place your bid. If your bid is enough to outbid the player with the previously highest bid, your username will appear on the page as "Best bidder". You will get a notice in your office if you have been outbid by another player.
Direct Sales:
On the horse's sale page, click the "Buy" button in the upper right corner of the page. If the sale price is negotiable, you can choose to buy the horse as is by clicking "Credit Equus", or click "Negotiate the price" to PM the player and negotiate privately.
Reserved Sales:
Click "Buy" in the upper right corner of the horse's sale page.
Well you dont all was get a bid on you horse so times if you pay to much on a horse that it is not worth the price it will not get a bid.
The Shutterfly Splint boot is an old item and no longer available, but you may be able to find a horse for sale that has one in the Direct sale, but you should expect to pay a good deal of money for one.

It is impossible to cancel a bid; or a sale once the howrse has been bid on. If you didn't want to sell it you shouldn't have put it up for sale! Sorry! LeaBuff
Snow horse is a divine and currently they are not sale-able. Some people on howrse are protesting so they can sell them to give people a change to own Snow horses.
You can advertise on your page that you have passes for sale on Howrse, then use the private sales to sell a horse for the total amount you require to the buyer, then buying a horse back from them for the passes they want.
nothing except someone might buy your horse and your account will be credited however much that player bid on that horse.
No, the only way to not have to pay is if somebody else bids after you
Go to the auction page and click on the button just above the horses for sale that says "display only my sales" then it will give you a list of the horses that you put up for sale click the magnifieing glass just to the right of the comment (if you wrote one) then up the top of your horses sale there will be two buttons and one of them says "cancel the sale" click on that, then you will have to pay a percentage of the price.
Pretty sure you have to buy the horse. There are thousands up for sale right now, but they're all around 60,000

The original owner / seller of the horse has the power to cancel the sale at any time, if they so desire.
