Start with some soil (dirt) and "Plant Fertilizer" or the equivalent, and your seeds. You can mix the dirt and fetilizer together, and cover your seeds about three quaters of an inch with the plant fertilizer. That will get you started. Water at least once a day. If you need something to plant in, buy something big enough to allow for the growth of your plant.

You plant a seed by: # buy a packet of seeds # open the packet # dig a small, thin hole # put one seed in the hole # put the dirt back in the hole # label where you planted the seed # water the seed lightly and watch it grow (as the seed turns into a plant and grows larger, you can start to water the plant more. Make sure you do not over water the plant though.)

actually you dig the hole twice as wide as the plant. here in Florida we add soil amendments. hence our saying; put a five dollar plant in a fifty dollar hole. also make sure the top of the rootball is even with the surrounding soil.

First, you must dig a hole the size of the pot the plant was in. Next, you must take the plant out of the pot and place it in the hole. Finally, pack dirt around the new plant, and ta-da! you planted a plant!

Usually, you plant a plant outside in the sunlight, but it depends on the plant. When you get plants, you can usually get instructions with them on where to plant them. Small plants can be planted in flower pots indoors.

Is it true that sunflower is an herbal plant?

Short answer: YES, the sunflower can be considered an herb. The sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a flowering annual dicot. As an annual, it is a herbaceous plant instead of a woody plant. It is no longer used as a medicinal herb, as it was by Native Americans many centuries ago. An herb is defined as any plant used for flavoring, food, medicine or perfume. The sunflower seed is used for human food, and the sunflower leaf and seed can be used for livestock feed; therefore, the sunflower can be classified as an herb.
