How do you play Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Poptropica?

The second ad-game for "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" appeared on Poptropica in late June to early July, 2010. This was connected to the release of the DVD of the movie ("The Lightning Thief"). The game was only available to users whose avatar was below a certain age (10-12), and appeared for a longer period for the youngest users. (The final appearance was on Mythology Island.)

The Game

In the game, Medusa has stolen a shield, bow, and flying shoes from Zeus, and the player has 30 seconds to recover them, while avoiding Medusa's gaze (which turns you to stone for a few seconds). The game is ridiculously fast-paced, with Medusa teleporting around, rocks falling, and a waterfall of molten lava. The shoes are at bottom left, the shield at bottom right, and the bow at upper left. Considering the difficulty in climbing to the top amid the rockfall, it is easiest to get the bow first by crossing to the right.

The Rewards

You get a Zeus Armor costume and a lightning bolt. The lightning bolt can be activated by pressing Spacebar and it strikes at random places every time you activate it. This is identical to effect of the Zeus Lightning Staff in the Store.
