How do you play as a animal in dragon age?

you need to be a mage, you get the spell from morrigan. spells include spider shape, bear shape, bug swarm shape, and a final spell that changes spider into currupt spider and bear into bereskarn (blight bear)

or you can use a rouge, become a ranger and summon and animal. you can then control, attack, walk around playing as the animal while still having the original chracter, i often walk around as the wolf as its quite fun!
