You cannot play AVCHD in DVD player directly. You need to transcode AVCHD to DVD format. I use Aunsoft MTS Converter :aunsoft
for 2 reasons
1.NTSC and PAL are different phase alternating line suitable for different area. NTSC is more widely adapted.
2.The option between16:9 VOB or 4:3 VOB depends on you like widescreen or full screen.

I'm afraid it can't. You may need a burning software to burn the avi file to DVD first, then you could play it on a DVD player. There is an expection though that some DVD players can play avi. files. I recommend you to buy a DVD player at wal-mart or something that can play avi. files directly. They only cost about 50 dollars.

You need a DVD transcoder like handbrake or toast which will create .avi files to burn into a DVD. Once you get one of those DVD 'burners', add the video files you want on the DVD and it will convert the files into a disc you can play on DVD players.
