How do you play my immortal evanescence?

Here is the basic intro.

Right hand: C# E A E C# E A E C# E G# E C# C# E A E B A C# E A E C#.

Left hand: A E A _ A _ A _ C# G# C# _ G# _ C#

An underscore (_) means that you don't play anything with the left hand for one note of the right hand. For example, you play the first 3 notes together (C# E A with the right hand and A E A with the left), and then you play E with the right hand alone, and then C# with the right hand and A with the left.

I realise this is quite confusing. There is a proper piano sheet book issued by Evanescence based on the piano songs from Fallen which features My Immortal, or you could find a step-by-step tutorial on YouTube.com.
