Top two fingers of the left hand.
Top two fingers of the right hand.
Half the left thumb on the back
The soprano recorder is pitched in C. Its lowest note is C5, the C above middle C on the piano. It is about a foot from the top of the mouthpiece to the bottom.
If by recorder you mean the descant an e is 3 fingers on the left hand and the top 2 fingers on the right hand and the thumb hole is covered
You put your middle finger on the second hole from the top and hold your thumb as you usually would, on the back of the recorder, the B note.
You put your finger to the bottom one and you take 3 fringes from the top for g.For c you do the same thing except with all of your fingers holding down. (tricky)
Your thumb on the back hole and your other on the a but do not put your pionter finger on they whole putyour middle finger on it.
first you play regular but you cover half the top thumb hole
You can't play S and I on the recorder but you can play B. You play B by putting your first finger on the top hole and your thumb on the back hole. (left hand)
If its a descant recorder e is g with the next two fingers down and f is g a gap of one finger and then one finger . If its a treble recorder its the first finger and the hole on the back and e is when you cover all the holes . Just so you know:-)
You cover the back button with your thumb then cover the first two buttons at the top with your index finger and middle finger. Trust me!!
well my kids played the recorder in there school at first i did not know who to play but i is easy the top hole is b the next one is a third one is g
On the recorder, there are seven holes. Then, there's the back hole. Your left thumb covers it. Then the rest of your left hand cover the first three holes. You don't use your pinky. Your right hand covers the last four. You rest your thumb at the bottom. The note "A" is the second from the top. You cover the first two holes and the back hole to play it. Hope this helps!
The following is for a soprano or tenor recorder. To play a low B note: Cover the first hole, and the back hole with the thumb. To play a high B note: Cover the first, second, fourth and fifth holes, and the back hole halfway with the thumb. To play a low G note: Cover the first, second, and third holes, and the back hole with the thumb. To play a high G note: Cover the first, second, and third holes, and the back hole halfway with the thumb.
