At our company, we take a SEO interview seriously. We sit down with the client and find out what he hopes to acheive by hiring us (ex: be on the first page of Google, traffic on his site that converts into sales ect...) Then, we try to understand what keywords we will use. We need to know what his company is offering, providing, selling and so on. We want to know who he is trying to reach : Contractors? Clients? Businesses? and what would be th keywords they Our goal is to find out what keywords his target will use. We use other softwares to help us do this too. We then find out if he is interested in weekly blogs, weekly articles that will help redirect traffic to his site. This is a general interview and it varies depending the client and his experience with SEO.
