How do you prepare the pits from the Sweet Pit apricot so they are not bitter?

Sweet pit apricots need no preparation simply crack the shell and eat the pit if it is bitter it is definitely not a sweet pit apricot. If it is it should taste like almond but almost more like essence of almond ( a bit sweeter) its hard to explain but its definitely not bitter
