In summertime, all you need is a pump to circulate the oxygen. Remember to clean the pump out, too. In the wintertime, get an oxygen circulater so the fish can survive below the ice. Don' t be too worried about feeding them while on vacation. All you have to do is feed them extra before you leave and they will do fine.

∙ 14y agoMy pond is already over populated. We took what we thought was most extra fish out in the spring. But a couple of dozen small ones were hiding on us. Is there any chemical or natural way to remove the urge to breed without harming fis health. I started with two gold fisk and 5 small koi about five years ago. Now there are about 60 including last years births. The pond is about 2000 US gal.
