Yes my koi reproduce every year. All it takes is maintaining good water quality and providing adequate cover (plants, cracks between rocks etc .) to keep the fry from being eaten. Otherwise you have to use spawning mats and then remove the fertilized eggs from the pond and raise the fry in a separate fish tank until they are big enough to survive in the pond. In large ponds (1 acre plus) reduce prolific plants like blanket weed so that the daily pH "high" can be countered by the nightly pH "low". Lily beds will help shade out the blanket algae. On smaller ponds there are some treatments that you can purchase and apply on a regular basis. These are normally far too expensive for larger ponds.
