I assume you mean freezing shut with ice when it sticks to the floor. In this case, I don’t think there are ways of preventing it (unless you can keep your garage heated) but there are ways of loosening the door from the floor by using hot water and warm towels (so the water won’t freeze right away) with gentle scrubbing, this should work. I must say though, I asked my aunt since I never had this problem and she has to deal with it every winter in Boston.
I hope I helped!
No, because they could easily come down at any time. Although, everything has it's up's and down's. I think that any garage door type you get is going to have it's safety precautions, and I'd just stick to what you prefer and what works best for you.

"Is walking to the parking garage" is a clause because it contains a subject ("walking") and a verb ("is").
if you mean your body, it is through the top of your head, that is why it is important to wear a hat in the winter when it is freezing.
Between the head and the engine block. This is a BIG job and I sugest taking it to the garage.
