This shows you the DIP settings for your ST Communicator Garage Door Opener (STCGDO) . You are after the brand setting for your present opener. Examining your current garage door opener remote will help here.
Get the code setting from your current garage door opener or remote.
Set the STCGDO dip switches according to what you figured out.
I had a Genie 12 DIP switch code, so the first 9 settings from my original remote were the 9 switches on the STCGDO. The other three from my original were the first three on the second DIP switch bank on the STCGDO.
The final three switches on the second bank of the STCGDO were the ones mentioned in the FCC's filing of the User Manual Page One, configured for my Genie.
